About the Role

Meesho are searching for problem solvers to join our Android development team. We're looking for applicants with programming, UI, and/or tooling experience who can support Android applications built using the Android SDK. As an SDE I-Android, you'll learn how to write tested and maintainable code bases, as well as unit testing and API design. We'd love to speak with you if you're interested in joining our top team of driven engineers who work hard and play hard.

What you will do

• Write unit tests, conduct code reviews, assist with architectural planning, and refactoring
• Attempt to fix bugs and enhance the functionality of applications.
• Create and develop fresh features and enhancements for the Android platform. Supervise interns and team members in support.
• Work closely together with the company's QA, engineers, product managers, and designers.
• Work together with cross-functional groups to specify, create, and release new features.

What you will need

• 1+ years of experience in a comparable position
• knowledge gained from having previously worked on two or more Android apps
• knowledge of the Android SDK, Java, Kotlin, and ecosystem
• knowledge of the anti-patterns, common mobile UX patterns, and Material Design guidelines
• knowledge of REST API consumption and what makes them RESTful
• Proficiency with multithreading and object-oriented programming
• knowledge of sophisticated Android ideas such as Accessibility Services, Custom Views,
• Being able to distinguish between good and bad design
• The capacity to write clear manageable code that can be worked on by others
• Apps added to the Play Store are beneficial.
