Responsibilities: -

• Conduct rigorous final-stage checks on merchant applications, ensuring that all information and paperwork are in accordance with RBI requirements.
• Check the KYM (Know Your Merchant) documentation and merchant information for accuracy and completeness.
• Cross-check the Maker team's confirmed information to discover and resolve any discrepancies or compliance issues.
• Maintain a keen eye for detail, flag any abnormalities for rework, and collaborate as needed with the Maker team to ensure high-quality production. 
• Refer challenging instances to senior stakeholders for additional assistance.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure that onboarding issues are resolved on time.
• Adhere to PhonePe's norms and standards, and act with honesty throughout the verification process.
• Approve or reject applications according to established rules, noting individual situations for further consideration as appropriate.
• Keep accurate records on each onboarding case for audit and compliance requirements.

Phonepe Careers 

Ideal Candidate Should:

• Must have at least 1-2 years of experience in KYC/AML verification or compliance-related responsibilities.
• Be fluent in English and Hindi (read, write, and speak); extra language abilities are advantageous.
• Showcase excellent attention to detail and dedication to correctness.
• Have great writing and verbal communication abilities to effectively collaborate with Maker team members and other stakeholders.
• Be able to multitask effectively and work efficiently under time restrictions.
• Have completed a degree program (10+2+3), with extra qualifications in compliance or financial regulation an added benefit.
